Stamperia di Lipomo SpA was founded in 1960
by four entrepreneurs, who began the production of
hand-printed fabric on the 3rd of July that year.
In 1962, and again in 1966, the company expanded:
the factory size doubled and the latest technology
was invested in, with the introduction of
mechanical printing tables.
The economic boom of the 1970s meant that Stamperia di
Lipomo SpA employed over 100 workers.
This number has recently fallen because of the
new technologies we have introduced: electronic
tables,, mono-machines and machines for
rotary printing.
Two of the original partners left the company in 1969
and the company was restructured. It is currently run by
one of the original partners, with the help of his family.
